Telford & Wrekin Council has been offered up to £150,000 by Shropshire police if it takes over parking enforcement.
Telford & Wrekin is one of only 21 councils that does not have civil parking enforcement (CPE) powers. It is also the only unitary authority not to enforce parking and the only council in the West Midlands not to undertake CPE.
Parking enforcement in Telford is currently undertaken by either police or community officers.
