Dual carriageway for Port of Liverpool

Highways England has published its preferred route for a new three-mile £250m dual carriageway to connect the Port of Liverpool at Seaforth with the M58/M57 interchange at Switch Island. The road would relieve the A5036 of heavy goods vehicles. Construction should commence in spring 2020.
