The public support fining motorists who abuse parent & child parking bays at supermarkets, a survey suggests. There was also support for use of temporary bans where motorists use parent-and-child parking spaces when they do not have a child in the car.

Some 500 people took part in the survey, conducted by online parking marketplace YourParkingSpace.

While a third of respondents backed fines of up to £25, a quarter wanted to see fines of more than £25. One-in-ten actually wanted...
