One of Britain’s most iconic car parks, Welbeck Street in London’s West End, is to be demolished. The structure’s distinctive geometric concrete façade is an example of the Brutalist school of architecture. Westminster City Council has approved proposals to demolish the car park, which is located just north of Oxford Street, to make way for a hotel and retail development.
