Over 100,000 plug-in cars and vans are registered in the UK

The UK government is to invest £20m exploring how batteries in electric vehicles (EVs) could feed the national power grid. The investment, announced by the Department for Transport, will support vehicle-to-grid (V2G) projects as part of the government’s ‘Industrial Strategy’. It is part of moves to create a smarter energy system and increase the numbers of EVs on UK roads.
