Mayor Khan sets out plan to persuade Londoners to reduce car use

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has published his first draft transport strategy that focusses on encouraging Londoners reduce their reliance on cars. The mayor has set out a target to increase the proportion of people walking, cycling and taking public transport to 80% of journeys by 2041, compared to 64% now. This will mean an average of three million fewer car journeys in London each day.
