Cheshire West and Chester Council is to open negotiations with Ringway to extend a highways contract after councillors heard that retendering now would lead to a significant increase in contract costs.
The council’s contract with Ringway Infrastructure Services Ltd is due to expire on 5 October but can be extended for four more years. Councillors have approved plans to negotiate a two-year extension to 2020, with the possibility of two further one-year extensions.
