A community on the Isle of Skye is planning to create a new car park to cope with a growing number of cars belonging to visitors heading to see a dramatic rock formation called the Old Man of Storr.

Staffin Community Trust has made an application to purchase local authority-owned land near the Old Man of Storr to create a 100-space car park. Besides the car park, the trust plans to provide public toilets and plant trees.
