Westminster City Council to trial emissions-based parking charges for diesel cars

Drivers of diesel cars will pay more to park in parts of central London as Westminster City Council looks at ways of reducing vehicle-based emissions.  

The council is to trial a surcharge for diesel vehicles parking within the Marylebone area. The council believes a “polluter pays” principle will reduce harmful vehicle emissions in Marylebone.
