BBC investigates Welsh parking penalty revenues

Local authorities in Wales have issued penalty charge notices (PCNs) worth almost £21m over the last three years, claims a survey by the BBC. Welsh councils issued over 600,000 tickets to motorists between 2013 and 2016, according to BBC Wales News. Figures obtained using a Freedom of Information request show councils collected £20.8m from fines in the last three years.
