Draft proposals for a bus alliance to reverse patronage decline have been published by Strathclyde Partnership for Transport. SPT says bus passenger numbers in the west of Scotland have fallen by 49 million over the last decade. The alliance would seek to arrest decline by 2020 and achieve growth of 3% a year thereafter.
