Civil enforcement officers strike in Hackney

Contractor APCOA says 24-hour walkout has has minimal impact

A strike by some civil enforcement officers in the London borough of Hackney has had only “minimal” impact on parking patrols, the council’s contractor has reported. Civil enforcement officers (CEOs) belonging to the trade union Unite are taking part in a 24-hour protest today. They are protesting against both the alleged  victimisation of a colleague and a dispute over payment for overtime.
