The government will host a roundtable debate on parking for heavy goods vehicles, transport minister John Hayes has announced. The discussion, which will include truck stop operators and the freight industry, was promised during a Westminster Hall debate at the Houses of Parliament on 7 September.

The debate saw MPs from across the UK share their concerns about the negative impact poor HGV parking has on the haulage industry, local communities and the wider economy.
