Honesty is still considered the best policy for a church near Exeter, Devon, which is attempting to manage the use of its car park by non-parishioners,

St Clement’s Church, which sits in a conservation area, has rejected the installation of a pay & display machine in favour of an honesty box. 

The car park is popular with those using the Exe Estuary cycling path and walkway, and drivers are asked to make a voluntary donation into a stone box in the car park.
