Bikers will have to pay to park in Matlock Bath

Motorcycle parking charges will be introduced in the Derbyshire village of Matlock Bath despite protests by bikers.

The village is a popular destination for motorcyclists. More than 4,500 motorcycles rode through the village in March and around 7,500 people signed a petition against the charges.

Derbyshire County Council is introducing a 50p per hour charge for a maximum stay of up to two hours on the North Parade and South Parade. Parking in these areas had previously been free for one-hour...
