Four photographers toured the world finding beauty in car parks in a bid to ‘elevate the everyday’

According to the Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows, ‘vemödalen’ is the frustration of trying to photograph something amazing when thousands of identical photos already exist – the same sunset, the same waterfall, the same curve of a hip, the same close-up of an eye – that turn a unique subject into something hollow, pulpy and cheap.
