A number of hospital trusts in England make more than £3m a year from parking fees, according to research by the Press Association (PA). 

The news agency sent Freedom of Information (FOI) requests to trusts across England. Ninety trusts responded to FOI requests, of which half said that they are making at least £1m a year.
