Mayor says ‘aggressive’ enforcement is damaging tourism economy

Liverpool John Lennon Airport has rejected accusations by the city’s mayor that its highways enforcement regime is unfairly targeting motorists.

Joe Anderson, Mayor of Liverpool, said passengers are falling victim to Liverpool John Lennon Airport’s “ruthless parking controls”.

However, the airport’s chief executive, Andrew Cornish, said that the enforcement of ‘no-stopping’ rules is needed to counter traffic congestion.
