Cardiff City Council has abandoned plans for diagonal pedestrian crossings at two suburban junctions.
In autumn 2014 the council consulted on street design changes to improve Birchgrove as a local shopping area on the A469 Caerphilly Road. Implementation commences this month, but without a proposed diagonal crossing. Another diagonal crossing was proposed at the next junction to the south along Caerphilly Road. It too has been dropped.
