Liverpool’s Queen Square car park sold to Q-Park

Liverpool developer Promenade Estates has sold its Liverpool city centre car park operation to Q-Park UK for an undisclosed amount.

Promenade Estates has been responsible for developing and managing commercial developments including Queen Square in the St George’s Quarter of Liverpool and Marine Point in New Brighton, Wirral.

Queen Square is a leisure destination featuring pubs and restaurants. It is located near cultural attractions including Liverpool Empire Theatre, The Royal Court Theatre, World Museum Liverpool, Central Library, St George’s Hall and the Walker Art Gallery.

What is now the Q-Park Queen Square car park provides space for 601 cars. The car park is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and has established partnerships with local theatres and restaurants.

Q-Park said it is planning to invest over £750,000 to improve customer parking experience at the site, including offering customers pre-booked via its website or via Q-Park Rewards mobile app.
