Q-Park UK has launched a salary sacrifice parking scheme in partnership with the accountancy firm Mazars.

The scheme enables employers to allow their staff to utilise salary sacrifice to fund season tickets benefit from National Insurance savings. This means that employees benefit from the arrangement by saving National Insurance and Income Tax on the amount of salary sacrificed.

Q-Park is also promoting the fact that the season tickets offer 50% off its daily tariff charge.

John Denton, head of marketing and sales at Q-Park UK, said: ”Our new salary sacrifice car parking initiative offers employers a total solution. It is ideal for employers who want to significantly enhance their staff benefits as well as creating significant employment cost savings.

“Unlike other salary sacrifice car parking schemes in the market place, ours allows employers to deal directly with the parking provider.  Our scheme is flexible to suit any requirements.”

Denton added that season ticket holders also receive exclusive partner benefits from big brands like Taste Card and Halfords.

The scheme was devised with Leeds-based team at Mazars Employee Benefits. Ian Wrightson, north region managing partner at Mazars, said: “For many employees, car parking costs are the biggest commuting expense they incur. Employers implementing a salary sacrifice car parking scheme can create significant savings for their employees and their business.”
