Mile End car park wins Park Mark

A car park run by Tower Hamlets in Mile End Park, east London, has attained Park Mark status. The car park on Haverfield Road was upgraded in April to provide spaces for residents and visitors to the park. It is the fourth car park in the borough to be granted the Park Mark under the Safer Parking Scheme.

Before the improvements, the car park had been underused – other than by commuters – and was affected by anti-social behaviour, such as abandoned vehicles and fly-tipping.
