Total Car Parks to close Manchester site after losing planning appeal

Total Car Parks will be closing its Oxford Road surface car park in Manchester on 31 July after failing to get an extension on planning permission to use the city centre site.

The BBC vacated the location in 2011 and the site has been used for parking since early 2013. Total Car Parks had submitted a planning application to allow for the continued operation of the existing 563-space car park until 1 January 2016.
