Romex system that limits smartphones when cars are in motion

A smartphone application that limits the functionality of devices while a vehicle is in motion has become the first product to have undergone TRL’s new in-vehicle safety system evaluation protocol.

The Romex Driver Protection app achieved ‘Highly Recommended’ status under the protocol, which is based around four key categories of assessment: relevance, deployment, usability and resilience.
