Parking charges are ‘most loathed’ fees

Parking charges are more unpopular than cashpoints that charge, card payment surcharges and paid-for public lavatories, a poll by insurer Direct Line has revealed.

The survey asked people about their frustrations with a range of charges including bank charges, booking fees, and mobile phone roaming charges. 

Some 48% said the items should be free, while 31% believed the fees were too high.
