A Greater Manchester council has won a business-friendly award for its plans to introduce free car parking across its boundaries. Rochdale Borough Council’s scheme, which offers three hours’ free parking at all its car parks, started on 1 May. 

The council was presented with the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Business Buddy Award.
