The Highways Agency has discontinued the tender process for three more asset support contracts (ASCs) after existing bids were deemed unsatisfactory.
The decision affects areas 1 (Devon and Cornwall), 13 (Cumbria and parts of Lancashire) and 14 (Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Durham and North Yorkshire). These are currently managing agent contracts (MACs) but are being reprocured as ASCs.
