Private parking operators make 2.45m vehicle keeper requests

DVLA received over 2.45 million requests for vehicle keeper details from private parking companies in 2013-14. This compares to almost 1.9 million requests made in 2012-13.

The DVLA grants electronic access to its vehicle keeper databases private companies that are members of an Approved Trade Association (ATA). There are currently two ATAs, the British Parking Association’s Approved Operator Scheme and the Independent Parking Committee.
