Essex to refund £1m in bus lane fines

Nearly £1m worth of bus lane fines issued in Colchester town centre are to be refunded. Essex County Council accepted that road markings and signage in the bus lanes was confusing. This relates to bus lanes on North Hill and High Street. The council has installed additional signage and road marking improvements to ensure awareness of, and compliance with, the bus lanes.
