Work has begun on a new £3.5m transport interchange at Galashiels serving the Borders to Edinburgh railway.
The first phase of work will see the re-alignment of Stirling Street to create an area for the new building adjacent to Ladhope Vale.
This work will also include the creation of a new civic space on the former bus station and surface parking for 100 vehicles. The new car park will be created on the remainder of the former bus station to replace spaces.
