Train seat availability checker

Netherlands Railways (NS) is trialling a new congestion indicator app aimed at  enabling intending passengers – especially those with mobility problems - to check if they are likely to find a seat on the train they are awaiting and, if not, to opt for the  next arrival. The information appears on NS’ Reisplanner Xtra app as an array of between one and three dolls – the latter indicating seats in short supply.
