New handheld computer software designed to allow civil enforcement officers (CEOs) to quickly gather evidence of contraventions has been adopted by the City of London Corporation. The software, called Rialto, was developed by Imperial Civil Enforcement Solutions (ICES).
The development of the Rialto cost £250,000 and involved nearly two years of research and system testing, which took into account related technical developments in the consumer field such as smart phones.
