The Design Museum is on the hunt for an original 1960s Venner parking meter to display in the forthcoming exhibition about designer Kenneth Grange. During a career that spans over 50 years, he has been responsible for designing some of the many iconic products and appliances: Kodak cameras, Kenwood food mixers, Parker pens, the Intercity 125 train and the re-design of the London black cab.
Making Britain Modern, which opens on 20 July 2011, is Grange’s first UK retrospective. It will include over 150 products, prototypes, sketches as well as audio, photography, film and, with luck, a Venner meter. If you have access to a Venner meter let the museum know by emailing: communications @designmuseum.org
The reward is a free year’s membership to the Design Museum.
