Southend-on-Sea Borough Council in Essex has installed Parkeon’s Varioflex pay-on-foot solution in the 280-space, three-level underground car park, which has been developed at one end of the town’s High Street beneath the University of Essex’s new 10-storey university accommodation block.
The car park is equipped with three Varioflex automatic pay stations, which give drivers the choice of paying with coins, bank notes or Chip & PIN credit/debit cards.
