Errors by Redbridge deprived OAP of blue badge for almost six months

Errors by the London Borough of Redbridge meant that an elderly disabled man was unable to use of his blue badge for 23 weeks, the Local Government Ombudsman has found.

The council refused the initial blue badge application by ‘Mr Khan (not his real name), stating there was not enough information for it to be approved. His name was then removed from the list of those awaiting a mobility assessment.
