Road Traffic volumes in the first quarter of this year fell to levels not seen for eight years as the severe winter weather combined with the recession to dampen demand.
The DfT’s provisional estimate is that traffic levels in Great Britain fell 2.1% in quarter one of 2010 compared with the corresponding quarter of 2009.
