‘Pirate parking’ undermines Wembley stadium travel plans

A growing number of unofficial car parks are operating around Wembley stadium on event days. This is undermining Brent council’s efforts to stop people travelling to the venue by car. At the rugby league Challenge Cup Final at Wembley stadium last Saturday 30 August, between St Helens and Hull, several sites offered fans parking on their forecourts, including offices, units on an industrial estate and even a church.
