Transport Minister Lord Adonis offered comments on Britain’s best and worst rail stations during a five day rail tour around the UK last month.
In a tour diary the minister hailed Sheffield station as “a real delight”. “It has been beautifully restored in recent years and has excellent retail and waiting facilities for passengers,” he wrote.
