UK pensioners are often depicted in the media as lacking tech literacy, missing out on the skills to use mobile devices. In a world where tech adoption is accelerating, it can seem like the elderly are left behind in the changing times.

However, research from OnePoll, commissioned by parking payment provider RingGo, suggests the opposite. Seniors value technology, specifically smartphones, with many stating they have become a critical part of their lives.
