Ombudsman upholds complaint against Stockport parking permit restrictions

Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council has been ordered to apologise and compensate a man who was refused a parking permit for a new flat. The Local Government Ombudsman upheld a complaint made by ‘Mr X’, who bought a flat on the road believing he would qualify for a parking permit.
