There is much interest in the role of habits, attitudes and intentions in influencing travel behaviour, although these are often considered as human complexities that would be quite outside the realm of practical modelling. One of the more original but least influential pieces of work I have done was a short 1975 paper that was eventually published (after being turned down by three other journals) in Urban Studies in 1977.
