Islington secures £930k LEVI funding for electric vehicle chargers

Islington Council has received £932,500 in government funding to roll-out of the chargepoints.

Islington worked with neighbouring north London borough Camden to obtain £1.86m of Local EV Infrastructure (LEVI) Fund grant.

Its share of the LEVI grant and private investment will enable the installation of at 840 new EV chargepoints, comprising: 

600 lamp column chargepoints (5kW) 

240 fast chargepoints (7W).
