Transport for Wales (TfW) has appointed a senior figure from a bus group to help with appraising large franchise bids. TfW has not yet named the appointee as LTT but bus industry sources say he is Bob Montgomery, former Managing Director of Stagecoach UK Bus.
TfW Chief Executive James Price explained to a Senedd committee how TfW has increased its bus expertise in the run-up to franchising, which is due to begin this year with invitations to tender for franchises in South West Wales.
