Hawks deter birds from nesting car park set for demolition

Birds of prey are being used to discourage birds from nesting in a Grimsby multi-storey car park that is scheduled to be demolished. 

The Abbey Walk car park closed in May 2024 due of structural issues caused by water penetrating some of the beams. 

North East Lincolnshire Council decided the car park will be demolished to make way for a town centre improvement plan that includes a new transport hub and a 120-space surface car park.
