Pilots will explore ways of developing rural bus schemes, says Lightwood

The DfT is seeking local transport authority (LTA) partners to take part in rural bus franchising pilot schemes, Local Transport Minister Simon Lightwood has announced. Speaking at a Transport Committee hearing earlier this month, he said the pilots would be about “creating practical tools for local transport authorities”.
