Operator Britannia Parking wants to create a 75-space car park on the site of a former garage site in the Dorset town of Shaftesbury.
The proposed car park would feature electric vehicle chargepoints and spaces for motorhomes.
Britannia argues the town has a shortage of parking areas close to the shops, arts centre and other attractions. Britannia said it would provide spaces for four motorhomes on the site with an entrance to the new car park on New Road.
