Transport committee blocks further spending on scheme preparations

Plans to introduce a workplace parking levy (WPL) scheme plan in Edinburgh have been suspended after councillors voted against paying £100,000 to develop a final proposal for the project following a public consultation.

City of Edinburgh Council has been studying the case for a workplace parking levy since 2018 when the transport and environment committee agreed to start investigating the approach.
