The DfT has announced another £143m to fund almost 1,000 zero emission buses at 25 councils across England.
This is the second round of funding from the Zero Emission Bus Regional Areas (ZEBRA) programme following £270m to 16 councils in the first round.
Transport Secretary Mark Harper said no other European country registered as many electric buses in 2023 as the UK thanks to the ZEBRA programme.
