Gloucester car park may be redeveloped

A multi-storey car park that was closed due to safety fears may never reopen as it now features in a development proposal.

The Longsmith Street Car Park was shut in September after inspections signalled issues.

Gloucester City Council leaders has now endorsed proposals to turn the former Fleece Hotel on Westgate Street into an enterprise hub.

Previous regeneration plans for the hotel stalled last year as no detailed designs were forthcoming from Dowdeswell Group, the council's preferred partner...
