The new PRISM transport model that the seven metropolitan authorities in the West Midlands conurbation will be using to, amongst other things, help develop their local transport plan (LTP) submissions to the Government by the middle of next year, is an impressive piece of work, due to its sheer size and complexity if nothing else. A full run of the model, for example, can take up to three days on a 'state-of-the-art' PC.
